What’s Working in Central and Eastern Europe – Solutions Stories from Transitions magazine
As you might have noticed over the past few years, we have been working to spread the concept of solutions journalism – rigorous reporting on responses to society’s most pressing problems – across the CEE region. To date, we’ve organized dozens of workshops, trained over 800 journalists and journalism students, and handed out over 50 microgrants to produce solutions stories. We believe this type of reporting can serve as a catalyst for promoting accountability for social problems and can better inform communities.
This new compilation represents the combined results of those efforts, with articles from across the region on a great variety of topics. And we are proud to feature an introduction from Pulitzer-Prize-winning journalist and author Tina Rosenberg, one of the founders of the Solutions Journalism Network, our key ally in this growing initiative.
