10 August 2001 SOFIA. More than 50 Bulgarian public figures signed on 7 August a document in support of President Petar Stoyanov’s reelection bid. Stoyanov, who was elected with support of the Union of Democratic Forces in 1996, will run as an independent in the presidential elections in November.
