MEDIA: Increasing Opportunities for Romani Publishing

ALTHOUGH ROMA (GYPSIES) ARE THE largest minority in Eastern Europe, numbering at least several million, there is no Romani-language equivalent of TASS or Reuters. Roma do not have their own state, and many states in which they lived, especially during periods of state socialism, forbade minority-language publications.
